A party wouldn’t be complete without party bags full of favours to take home.
So while I have often opted for something simple, for AJ’s Lego birthday party, I wanted the children to take home some of the magic that my boys believe in when it comes to Lego.
A little bag of crayons, shaped as Lego mini-figures.
A little bag of vanilla scented, hand-made soap, shaped as Lego bricks and mini-figures.
A chocolate Lego man, made by my Dad, of course!
A giant lollipop to tick the box of sugar, a prerequisite for all party favour bags.
A Lego mini-figure, from Series 6, to keep with the 6th birthday theme.
Later that night, after all the guests had left and the boys were fast asleep – one of our friends sent me a message saying that her little ones were tucked up in bed, having had a bath with their Lego soap, content with Lego chocolate in their tummy and with their Lego mini-figures waiting on their bed side table for play in the morning. Just perfect.
I really believe that birthdays are just as much about giving, as they are about receiving.
Do you give party bags to guests?
