One of the most heartwarming experiences I had when I first published this blog was connecting with the incredible community of voices and people that exist in this online world. You can join that community here:
Double Up Friday: A chance to share some Facebook love every Friday. Over on the always Josefa Facebook page every Friday you can join in and recommend a Facebook page that you love, as well as leaving your own Facebook page for others to discover.
Conversations over Coffee: A monthly link up that encourages a conversation around the set theme or prompt. Writers are encouraged to link up any of their work that suits the theme for that month’s conversation.
I Blog on Tuesday: Perhaps the holy grail of blog link-ups in the Australian blogging community. Essentially Jess has built one of the most welcoming online blogging communities I have had the honour of being a part of. Join in every Tuesday, with a new previously unpublished blog post.
Flog Your Blog Friday: Waving the flag for the Digital Parents Community of Australia With Some Grace takes on the mammoth task every Friday of hosting the Flog Your Blog Friday link-up. Join in with your favourite post for the week and make sure you are part of the Digital Parents community.
Weekend Rewind: Friday nights have never been the same since the Weekend Rewind, hosted by the gorgeous Maxabella Loves, Life Love and Hiccups, Sonia Styling and A Life Less Frantic. Join in with your favourite post of the week and spend your weekend rewinding with some great blog reading.
Kidspot Voices: Each year the stage is set for Kidspot Voices. Shining the spotlight on the blogging, writing, styling, fashion, life-style and food talent showcased in Australia. Awards, events, webinars and a fabulous online community – Kidspot Voices has it all.
Want to get out from behind the computer and meet some of this awesome community in real life? The Pro-blogger Training Event is the royalty of blogging conferences in Australia. While the Big Hearted Business (un-) conference is a place where you can learn how to do what you love, make money and save the world. I have attended Pro-blogger 2012 and Big Hearted Business 2014 and loved every single moment.
Want to be a freelance writer? An author? There is no better place to start than at the Australian Writers Centre. I have completed both online and weekend courses and could not recommend them more highly. The Australian Writers Centre also hosts the annual and prestigious Best Australian Blogs Competition.
Last but certainly not least, meet my sister adelphi mou. She takes care of everything I need in the world of design, for my blog, my social media and even all my birthday parties and celebrations. She is all kinds of awesome. Stop by and say hello I just know you will love her.
Writing may be food for the soul, but without an audience we are nothing. Take a moment to connect to your audience and seek the community you feel most at home with.
